I played 10 years, including all 4 years of college ball as a starter. I've been knocked out numerous times, and I know I've had countless concussions. Back in the 70s little was known about the repercussions. I'm 68 now and my memory is terrible. I barely remember my football playing days. I don' sleep well, I have depression and anxiety, I isolate myself for days on end, never leaving the house. I'm not sure if I have CTE, but I'd be surprised if I don't.

There are studies that showed how educated populations are more likely to care about the environment. Unfortunately they're usually only educated enough to complain about it. Yes thousands of studies show that climate change is an issue but they're never written by chemists, they are written by low level environmental scientists whose entire degrees are based around complete nonsense. This is one of the coolest times in human history and all of the long-term data is very clear on that. Geologists and botanists can easily prove that CO2 levels are currently very low. Obviously anyone who is funded to research climate change has to agree with the insanity otherwise their next project won't receive funding. Instead of wasting time why not try protecting forests or starting a company that fishes plastic out of the ocean so that it can be recycled. It's the media's fault that activists blindly believe protesting is the solution and that big oil is the problem. The man who invented the catalytic convertor spent his life working in the petroleum industry whilst also teaching himself about enzymes. I'm a chemist and if any of us actually believed in global warming then someone would have already worked out how to extract Carbon from the air. Remember when melting icebergs were going to raise the sea level even though that's not how displacement works. True environmentalists are inventors as well as people who voluntarily clean vandalized caves or oil covered penguins. When people demand that their government make a change it just shows how ignorant they are about the capacity that their officials have to actually make a meaningful difference. Be the change you want to see rather than an environmental vandal or a road blocker.
